HSR is a full-service record company located in Westlake Village, California, founded in 2001 by local musicians Jacques DeGroot, Kory Carpenter and Kris Carpenter. The company was created out of the need to release a CD by the band Generous Juice. Rather than sign a major record deal for one band, the three musicians decided to create their own record label to take care of their own bands and projects. As Generous Juice is the current star act on the label, eight other projects are ready to follow in the footsteps. One way or another, the three executives of HSR are involved in each of the nine acts on the label. From music and video production to writing, practicing and performing, Kris, Kory and Jacques are hands-on each project every step of the way.
