Side projects usually come from musicians wanting to express a different side of their creativity. Royalush is an exception to that rule. When the members of Generous Juice and Louie Aqua Verde were in the studio with producer Tom Weir, three songs were co-written for them by various artists who were working in the studio. As Tom played the HSR acts for his other clients, some of them requested GJ and LAV perform their music. These along with some bonus tracks have now become Royalush; sort of an HSR supergroup.

The music of Royalush is very diverse with the cohesive element being one producer on all tracks, as well as the core of Generous Juice and Louie Aqua Verde performing the music. Chances were taken and much experimentation was involved in the individual songs. While recording, there were no limits or expectations in the studio; just the will to have fun and create music for various songwriters. Pieced together after the fact, the CD is gaining quite a following. Enough to warrant creating a band around it that can showcase the memorable music.
